Newer 3 bedroom home available in Wetumpka's Mulder Cove

A newer three-bedroom, two full bath home on a quiet cul-de-sac near Redland schools is for sale in the Mulder Cove neighborhood.

The home on Mulder Cove Lane in Wetumpka was the last one built in the development in 2021. The 2,335 square foot home also is the only two-story design in Mulder Cove, Realtor Mellanie Bailey said. Ages of the 34 homes in Mulder range from those built in 2007 to late 2021, she added.

“Mulder Cove is friendly and walkable with beautiful lots and trees,” Bailey said. “There are only 35 lots in the subdivision; one homeowner owns an adjoining lot.”

A newer three-bedroom, two and a half bath home at 104 Mulder Cove Lane is for sale in Wetumpka's Mulder Cove neighborhood. The 2,335 square foot home is on the market for $349,900, and is located near Redland schools.

She said Redland Elementary School housing grades K through 4 and Redland Middle School, grades 5 to 8, are both located nearby.

The Emerald Mountain area, as well as Wetumpka itself, continue to grow, attracting families drawn to river activities, the quaint downtown district, new recreation facilities, newer schools, and the small-town atmosphere.

“Wetumpka is beautiful with the Coosa River running through its downtown. There are walking trails along the riverbank, a public park, and two boat ramps,” Bailey said. “Wetumpka is rich in history and charm.  It was selected by HGTV for the hometown makeover, which made it famous all over the globe.  We have a large selection of delicious restaurants downtown and along U.S. Highway 231.”

Wetumpka’s sports facilities, outdoor activities and events are especially appealing to families.  The city’s sports complex provides opportunities for baseball, softball, pickleball, tennis, and archery, Bailey said.

“There are also lots of river activities including fishing tournaments, kayaking, white water rapids at Moccasin Gap, and canoeing.  There are several events every year downtown with fireworks, musical concerts, food, and fun,” she said.

The two and a half bath home at 104 Mulder Cove Lane includes a bonus room and a separate designated office. “This is the newest and last house built in the subdivision.  It was completed in November 2021 and is one of the few homes in the subdivision that has the extra half bath,” Bailey said.  “The home has an extended warranty to 2031 and energy-efficient spray foam insulation.”

The home’s interior looks new.  A large walk-in pantry and quartz kitchen counters will please the chef. A breakfast bar has room for four bar stools or chairs.

The master bathroom includes an oscillating fan ideal for hot summer days. The large master shower has three shower heads.

The layout also includes a walk-in pantry, laundry room, a large great room, an abundance of storage and a two-car garage.

Outside, a covered front porch offers space to gather and enjoy a large front yard. A covered patio in the backyard provides enough room for a cookout while the children romp in the fully-fenced yard.

The property is on the market for $349,900.  Mulder Cove is located just off Redland Road.
