Reverse raffle set for Nov. 12

DANBURY TOWNSHIP — The Danbury Parent Teacher Community Organization, along with the Marblehead Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, are hosting their Third Annual Reverse Raffle. This is an exciting fundraiser where attendees have the chance to win up to a $10,000 cash prize. Raffles, sideboards, and a couple or other surprises will add to the fun. The event will be held Nov. 12 at St. Mary’s Church Hall. Tickets to attend may be purchased from a PTCO member, a chamber board member or by calling the chamber office at 419-702-7492.

Money raised at the event will support both organizations.

Special Reconnect Order underway for Winter Heating Season

COLUMBUS —The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio has issued the 2022-23 Special Reconnect Order (SRO). From Oct. 17 through April 14, 2023, Columbia Gas of Ohio customers can reconnect service or avoid disconnection for the winter heating season for $175 plus a reconnection fee.

Customers who take advantage of the SRO program must establish a payment plan for their outstanding balance. If service has already been disconnected, reconnection using the SRO requires an additional $36 charge.

Columbia Gas wants customers to know that payment assistance is available to those who need it. For more information on the Special Reconnect Order or available payment plans, call Columbia Gas at 1-800-344-4077.

Clyde Exchange Club plans spaghetti dinner

CLYDE — The Clyde Exchange Club will hold its annual spaghetti dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 10 at the First United Methodist Church, 510 W. Maple St. This will be drive-thru only.

The dinner will include homemade spaghetti sauce, salad, garlic bread, and homemade dessert. The highlight of the meal will be Jeff Lemmon’s delicious secret-recipe sauce.

All meals are $8.

Proceeds from this dinner will be donated to local charities. Tickets are available at the door, from any Clyde Exchange Club member, or by calling Jeff Lemmon at 419-547-9825.

Special Walk Around Tasting Event to benefit humane society

PORT CLINTON — The 1812 Food and Spirits , 2590 E. Sand Road is hosting a Walk Around Tasting Event, a fundraiser for the Humane Society of Ottawa County from 5 to 8 p.m. Nov. 3. There will be beer, wine and food sampling.

There will be four tables with different featured foods and wines. A 50/50 raffle will be held. Live music will be provided by Ron Howard.
