News briefs: Adena adds four new providers

CHILLICOTHE – Adena Health System is expanding its care for patients with the addition of four health care providers, across multiple service lines. These incoming physicians and advanced practice provider are delivering even more options for comprehensive, close-to-home care for patients throughout the region.

Li-Wei Chang, MD joins Adena Dermatology in Chillicothe specializing in Mohs surgery. Dr. Chang earned his medical degree from Columbia University in New York, NY. He completed his residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and his fellowship at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in Cleveland, OH.

Ali Esfahani, MD is welcomed to the growing team of providers at Adena Orthopedic and Spine Institute specializing in Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine. Dr. Esfahani earned his medical degree from the University of Toledo. He completed residencies at Riverside Methodist Hospital and the Cleveland Clinic, the latter of which he also did his fellowship.

Elizabeth Hoover, CNP, PMHNP comes to the Adena Counseling Center accepting new patients in Chillicothe. With over two decades of experience as a certified nurse practitioner, Elizabeth earned her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Ohio University and her Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification from the University of Cincinnati.

Kirthi Jetty, DO is now caring for patients at Adena Family Medicine – Greenfield. The daughter of longtime Adena physicians Sathish and Lois Jetty, she earned her medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, WV. Dr. Jetty completed her residency at Wright State University in Dayton, OH.

Candidates Night on Thursday

CHILLICOTHE - A Meet the Candidates night will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, at Ross County Service Center.

For over 80 years the Chillicothe Ross League of Women Voters has invited candidates to speak to an audience and answer one or two questions. Covid stopped the live venue but the League is back this year with a new format.

The candidates will meet in small groups and have time to answer more questions or discuss issues of importance to their office. Visitors will sit at tables and the candidates will rotate from table to table and converse in small groups.

Five candidates are participating: County commissioner candidates Doug Corcoran and Jack Everson, auditor candidates Jeff Lehner and Robyn Brewster and state senate candidate Garry Boone.

All are encouraged to arrive at 6:30 p.m. to get a seat at a table to ask questions.

Meetings

Liberty Township Board of Trustees will conduct a special meeting at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday to discuss paving for 2023 in the office of the fiscal officer located at 4923 Vigo Road, Londonderry.
