Bradner Legion plans baked steak dinner

BRADNER — On Sunday, Bradner American Legion Post, 209 W. Crocker St., will have its baked steak dinner. Menu is a baked steak, green beans, mashed potatoes with or without gravy, roll,dessert and a drink. Cost is $10. Serving is from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. or until sold out. Call 419-288-3634 to reserve a dinner, or stop by and eat at the post.

St. Paul in Oak Harbor plans barbecue dinner

OAK HARBOR — St. Paul Lutheran Church, 9789 W. Oak Harbor Southeast Road, will host its annual pork chop barbecue 11 a.m.-1 p.m. May 15 at the church.

Menu includes two pork chops, homemade parsley potatoes, coleslaw, bread, homemade pie and a drink. Cost is $12. Contact any church member or call Twyla at 419-898-2168 to reserve meal tickets. The event is drive-thru carryout only. A limited number of tickets may be available the day of the event.

St. Mary Byzantine to have perch, shrimp dinners

MARBLEHEAD — Lake Erie perch, cod and shrimp dinners are back at St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church 4-6 p.m. May 6.

Lakeview dining and takeout dinners are prepared to order. Lake Erie perch is $17; cod or shrimp are $12. Dinners include French fries or pierogi, coleslaw, tartar or cocktail sauce, rolls and butter. No reservations needed.

Homemade baked goods and raffle baskets will be available to benefit the church.

St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church is located at 505. E. Main St., adjacent to the historic Marblehead Lighthouse.

Small business seminar free at Terra

FREMONT — The Ohio Small Business Development Center at Terra State Community College is offering free, three-hour seminars, Small Business Basics, that will answer questions about starting, buying or expanding a small business.

The seminar will take the confusion out of your efforts and help you avoid costly mistakes and unnecessary steps. Learn the basics of name registration, licensing, taxes, zoning, business entities, employees, insurance, financing and business planning.

The May seminars are at Terra State Community College, 2830 Napoleon Road, Doepker Leadership and Entrepreneurial Center, Building B, Room 103.
