The event will be 7 p.m. April 22, at Team Tokey Hill, 365 Keller Road. Doors will open at 6 p.m. It will feature food, beer, wine, a silent auction and other activities.

Drive-thru food distribution

CHILLICOTHE - On Saturday, the Knights of Columbus Council #15793 will host a drive-thru food distribution from 10 a.m. to noon behind St. Peter Church, on the corner of Church and Water streets. Ross County residents in need of food are invited to enter the parking lot using the Church Street entrance and exit onto Water Street. Please be advised that there is NO ID requirement for this event.

Mayor Feeney announces Neighborhood Office Hours

CHILLICOTHE - Mayor Luke Feeney announced that he will hold Neighborhood Office Hours on Tuesday, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Crispie Creme Donut Shop, at 47 North Bridge Street.

Neighborhood Office Hours provide an informal setting to chat with Mayor Feeney about City affairs.

Union to host annual Chillicothe Fish with a Fire Fighter Day

CHILLIOTHE -- The International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Local 300 will host its annual ‘Fish with a Fire Fighter Day’ on Saturday, April 15 at Yoctangee Park in Chillicothe, with support from the Union Sportsmen’s Alliance (USA). The free, public event is designed to introduce local youth to conservation and the joys of fishing.

Registered youths will receive a free fishing rod and reel courtesy of the USA, and union firefighters will provide youths with instruction and assistance. All participants (including members of the press) are encouraged to stay for a picnic-style lunch.

When: Saturday, April 15, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: Yoctangee Park

Who: Organized by IAFF Local 300, this event is part of a series of free, community-based youth outreach activities organized under the USA’s Work Boots on the Ground conservation program, which brings together union members to volunteer their time and skills to conservation projects and events.
