Quilt Trunk Show, tips coming to The Arts Garage on Nov. 12

PORT CLINTON —The Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council announces a special Quilt Trunk Show coming to The Arts Garage in mid-November.

Taking place 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Nov. 12, the show will feature the works of Marblehead quilter Diana Schenko, who will host a discussion of tips and tricks in quilting and sewing.

Schenko began her quilting journey in 2016, after years of working as a cake decorator. She’s made hundreds of quilts, many for charity.

She also transforms old quilts into something new. There’s a lot of interest in sewing, noting the uptick in sewing machine purchases in the early days of the pandemic, she said.

The Arts Garage is located in the old city garage at 317 W. Perry St.
