Fremont Pride Festival set for Saturday

FREMONT - Fremont Ohio Pride will host its third consecutive Pride Festival on Saturday, July 8.

The festival will be at Walsh Park between noon and 7 p.m. The festival will feature over 30 local vendors, businesses, resources and artists, according to founder and executive director Stevie Keck. There will be over 40 entertainers including live music and drag performers.

There will be festivities and an after party at Da Love Pitt, 503 W. State St., after 8 p.m. Entry at the after party is limited to guests and community members 18 and older.

Work begins Friday on West State Street improvements

FREMONT - City of Fremont announced that the contractor for West State Street intersection improvements will begin work on Friday, July 7. Asphalt milling will be Friday and Saturday, July 8. Work will continue July 13 and 14 and asphalt resurfacing will be July 16 and 17 as a night operation from 6 p.m. to 6 p.m. For more information call the engineer's office at 419-334-8963.

Perch Wagon to set up at Wolcott Keeper's House

MARBLEHEAD - The Wolcott Keeper’s House, 9999 East Bayshore Road, will be host to the Port Clint Rotary Perch Wagon from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday July, 8. Dine on perch dinners, sandwiches, and side dishes. There will be music by balladeers Steve and Lisa Ball at the 1820s home of the Marblehead Lighthouse’s first keepers, Benajah and Rachel Wolcott. Carryout is also available.

Tours of the restored residence and cemetery will be ongoing throughout the day. The Wolcott Keeper’s House is a living history project of the Ottawa County Historical Society.  It is supported by donations, grants, and fundraisers.  Tickets for the annual drawing will be available at the annex for $1 each or 6 for $5. Bellevue plans fun night, fireworks on Friday

BELLEVUE - The City of Bellevue will host Community Fun Night starting at 5 p.m. Friday, July 7, at Robert Peters Park in Greenwood Heights. Events will include face painting, a bounce house, obstacle course, yard games, vendors, children's axe throwing, music, a dunk tank, food trucks and free popcorn.

The evening will be capped off with fireworks.

Flea market set for weekend at the fairgrounds

FREMONT - The Fremont Flea Market will be Saturday and Sunday, July 8 and 9, at the Sandusky County Fairgrounds, 901 Rawson Ave. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free. For more information visit www.sanduskycountyfair.com.
