Compassionate Ministries to hold Gospel Sing

CLYDE - Compassionate Ministries Will hold a Gospel Sing of Southern and Country Music at 6 p.m. Saturdayat 1283 County Road 236. There will be a meal at 5 p.m.

St. John planning Fall Festival

PORT CLINTON - St. John Lutheran Church, 207 Adams St., will be holding a Fall Festival from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 21. The church is seeking vendors of new items and crafts. Spaces are $25 including tables and chairs. For more information email monettegarm@gmail.com.

ProMedica Memorial to host Medicare education program

FREMONTProMedica Memorial Hospital will share its Medicare education program to those who are new to Medicare, will be joining Medicare in the near future, or simply have questions regarding Medicare and how it works.

David Painter, from the Ohio Department of Insurance, is a Medicare expert and will cover all of the services including Medicare Supplement vs. Medicare Advantage Plans, Medicare Prescription drug Cover and Open enrollment.

This program will take place on Sept. 20 at 1 p.m. in Memorial Hospital’s Café located on the first floor. Light refreshments will be provided. Please register by contacting the Golden Threads office at 419-334-6613. This is a free event.

Friends of Clyde Library to hold book sale

CLYDE - Friends of the Clyde Library will hold a Fall Book Sale at the Clyde Public Library, 222 West Buckeye St. The selection includes adult fiction, adult nonfiction, children's books, CDs, DVDs, audio books, and magazines. The sale will be noon to 8 p.m. Sept. 21; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 22; and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 23. Saturday is bag day where you can fill any size bag for $5.

Health board to meet Friday

FREMONT - The Sandusky County Board of Health will meet at 8:30 a.m. Friday at 2000 Countryside Drive. The board will review upcoming contracts, a report on the levy committee, flu and COVID vaccination clinics, and a review on building renovations.

ELMS dinner set for Sept. 21

PORT CLINTON - The Peace Lutheran Church and St. Thomas Episcopal Church will hold an ELMS Community Meal at 5 p.m. Sept. 21 at St. Thomas on East Second Street. They will serve chicken and noodles with carrots, celery and onions with vegetables and dessert. This will be carryout only.
