Mayor's Concert is Sunday at Birchard Park

FREMONT — The Mayor's Concerts in the Park will be 7 p.m. Sunday with Sea Jamz 7 in Birchard Park. The concert is free. In case of rain, concerts will be canceled before 4 p.m. This information can be found on the City of Fremont Social Media accounts. For more information, visit fremontohio.org.

Clerk of courts office to close for training

FREMONT — The Clerk of Courts Office in Sandusky County will be closed July 20 and 21 for training. No pleadings may be filed on those dates.

Pleadings may be filed prior to 4:30 p.m. on July 19. Any pleadings filed after that date will be file stamped on July 22. This applies to walk-ins and mail and fax filings.

Genealogical society traveling to Toledo library

PORT CLINTON — The Ottawa County Genealogical Society meeting will be 10 a.m. July 19 at Toledo Lucas County Public Library, 325 N. Michigan S., Toledo. This is the group's yearly field trip. The group will meet in the lobby at 10 a.m. Afterwards, members will get together for have lunch. The public is welcome.

Republican Women to meet July 21

Learn about Great Lakes Pirates at Clyde Public Library

CLYDE — The National Museum of the Great Lakes will be at the Clyde Public from 6 yo 7 p.m. July 21 for an adult-teen program. They will teach about Piracy and the Great Lakes, and what kind of legacies they may have left behind.  Registration is required at 419-547-7174.

Oak Harbor residents can receive $100 for recycling appliances

OAK HARBOR — For a limited time, Efficiency Smart is offering Oak Harbor Public Power electric customers a free pickup and a $100 reward for responsibly recycling an eligible refrigerator, freezer, dehumidifier, or window air conditioner.

Appliance recycling will be available to Oak Harbor residents until Sept. 30. All units must be in working condition to be eligible for pickup. In addition to the $100 reward per unit, customers can also save on their electric bill by not running an older appliance.
