Ohio 510 to be closed in May

CLYDE - Ohio 510 over Buck Creek, north of the city of Clyde, will close May 1 for 30 days for a bridge replacement. The project will complete in late September, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.

Mental health board to meet in Port Clinton

TIFFIN - The location has changed for the board meeting of the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Seneca, Ottawa, Sandusky and Wyandot Counties at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. The new location is the Ottawa County Family Advocacy Center, 70 S McKinley Drive, Port Clinton.

Oak Harbor Chamber Foundation to host reverse raffle 

OAK HARBOR - The Oak Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce will again host the Oak Harbor Independence Day Celebration. To help offset the costs of the event, the Oak Harbor Chamber Foundation will hold a Reverse Raffle on May 13 at the Ottawa County Fairgrounds. Dinner and a chance to win over $5,000 in cash and prizes, with a top prize of $2,500 cash, is $50 per person.

In addition to the cash prizes, there will be several raffle items, games and more. The foundation is looking for raffle items and donations. Contact the chamber at 419-898-0479 or chamber@oakharborohio.net if interested in purchasing a ticket or donating to the event.

Proceeds benefit the Free Independence Day Celebration on July 3.

Chili competition set for Saturday

MARBLEHEAD - The Marblehead Peninsula Chamber of Commerce is hosting the annual Chili Cook-off 1-5 p.m. Saturday. Stop by participating businesses throughout Lakeside and Marblehead and sample chili. Vote for a favorite chili and qualify to win a price. Cost is $20 by calling the chamber office at 419-702-7492.

Gibsonburg Town Hall to be closed April 7

GIBSONBURG - The Gibsonburg Town Hall will be closed April 7. The Town Council will meet at 6 p.m. April 4 at the council meeting room in the town hall, 526 N. Webster St. The meeting will be broadcast live on the Gibsonburg Ohio Facebook page.

Plasterbed, Gypsum roads closed

OAK HARBOR - Plasterbed and Gypsum Roads will be closed from Schiewe to the southern entrance to U.S. Gypsum through Wednesday. No vehicles are permitted through the area until repairs are completed, according to the Ottawa County Engineer's Office announced.
