Port Clinton Chamber names car show winners

PORT CLINTON — The PC Chamber Hosted the 29th annual Classic Car Show. The 2022 Jerry Lippus Memorial Classic Car Show was held on Aug. 6 in downtown historic Port Clinton.  Perfect weather drew close to 100 cars and a huge crowd.

The Chamber’s Classic Car Show winners are as follows:

●1st — Gary Mason, 1954 Pontiac GTO from Tiffin;

● 2nd — Mike Crosser, 1971 Ford Ranchero from Port Clinton;

● 3rd — Mike & Kathy Willinger, 1967 Chevy Camaro from Sandusky;

● People’s Choice Award — Bernie Wilfong, 1950 Ford F1 from Clyde.

Cook With the Cops set for Friday

GIBSONBURG — Cookout With The Cops will be held by the Gibsonburg Police Department and the Village of Gibsonburg at noon Friday August 12 in Williams Park. All members of the community are invited to attend to attend.

Justice Bus heading to Port Clinton

PORT CLINTON -The Ohio Justice Bus will be at 570 S. McKinley Drive from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Aug. 16.

The Ohio Justice Bus is a mobile legal aid office and technology hotspot that allows legal aid and pro bono attorneys to travel and provided legal services to Ohioans at no cost to clients.

The Ohio Justice Bus is partnering with the Ohio Bar Association to offer free legal advice to low-income residents in Ottawa County. At the this clinic the staff is able to prepare a simple will, a durable financial power of attorney, a health care power of attorney, a donor registry enrollment form, a living will and a declaration of funeral arrangements.

FCT to hold workshop to prepare for comedy

FREMONT — Fremont Community Theatre will continue to hold free to the public monthly audition workshops to assist people in learning about and preparing for FCT auditions.

Two workshops will be held before the auditions of each of the five productions in the season. Attendees can attend either session where they also will learn about the shows and available roles in the upcoming season and get audition insight from the next show director.

The next workshop will be the first to highlight FCT's December comedy "The Play That Goes Wrong" and will be held at 1 p.m. Aug. 14. Auditions will be Oct. 2 and 3. For more information call 419-307-2608.
