Trinity to host 'Taste of the Season' dinner, free concert

FREMONT - Trinity United Methodist Church, 204 N. Wayne St., will host the “Annual Taste of the Season” dinner at 5:45 p.m. and Christmas Concert at 7 p.m. Dec. 4.

Reservations and prepaid tickets are needed by Nov. 27 for the dinner that includes appetizers, soup, a choice of meat or vegetarian lasagna, salad, bread, dessert and beverage for $14.

The free public concert will feature the Terra State Fusion Band along with other musical talent.  A free-will offering will be taken and a reception will follow.  Call 419-332-8167 to order dinner tickets.

Orders for the annual cheeseball sale are being taken through Dec. 4 for cheddar, dried beef, horseradish, onion and pineapple. Pickup will be 2 to 4 p.m. Dec. 17 at the church.  The cost is $8 each. To place an order, call 419-332-8167 or 419-680-5758.

Clyde Council eyes sidewalk program, zoning

CLYDE - Clyde City Council will hold a work session at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22 in the Second Floor Conference Room of the Municipal Building. ON the agenda is the 2023 Sidewalk Program, Facade Improvement and Zoning Coade Enhancements.

Holiday Breakfast with the Arts Tickets on sale Nov. 29

PORT CLINTON - Port Clinton High School announced the 21st Annual Holiday Breakfast with the Arts will be held on Dec. 20, at PCHS for school district residents age 60 and older.

Tickets go on sale Nov. 28 through Dec. 9 at the PCHS Main Office, Mary’s Blossom Shoppe, and Otto and Urban Greenhouse and Flower Shop. The cost is $2 per person and includes breakfast. Advance ticket purchase is required. The breakfast will begin at 8:30 a.m.  This event allows students to show their appreciation to residents of the school district and showcase talented PCHS young artists and musicians.  In case of school delay or cancellation the event will be postponed to Dec 21.  See more details at www.pccsd.net.

Bartek leaving Holy Assumption Orthodox

MARBLEHEAD - The Very Rev. Archpriest Andrew Bartek, rector of Marblehead’s Holy Assumption Orthodox Church at 110 East Main Street, recently announced that he is leaving the Marblehead parish after five years to accept a new assignment in Campbell, Ohio, near Youngstown.

Father Andrew, as the affable Archpriest is known to all, will lead St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in that city. His last service in the Marblehead church will at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 27.
