Chardon>>Gymnastics

Senior>>All-around

In the gym: In Chardon's senior meet with Kenston and Hathaway Brown, was first in the vault, fourth in beam, fifth on floor and fourth in the all-around.

Out of the gym: Will attend Kent State and major in nursing. Enjoys lifting weights, running, reading and hanging out with friends. Loves ice cream, Chick-fil-A, Chipotle and Barrio. Is a huge fan of the Browns and Ohio State.

Mentor>>Boys basketball

Junior>>Wing/Guard

On the court: In a win over Strongsville, had 29 points and nine rebounds. In a win over Lake Catholic, had 21 points, eight rebounds and three assists.

Off the court: Friends and family know him as "IB." Favorite sports memory is coming together as a team last year, winning 11 in a row and winning the district championship. Favorite show is "Last Chance U." Favorite meal is pasta and meatballs. Loves being in the gym and in his driveway working on his game.

Kara McFadden

Fairport>>Girls basketball

Senior>>Guard

On the court: In three games she averaged 27.6 points, four assists, four steals and three rebounds per game. She has set Fairport's all-time scoring record and 3-point record this season.

Off the court: Will play basketball at Waynesburg University in Pennsylvania. One of her favorite sports memories is getting the first playoff victory of her career last season. Enjoys going camping and kayaking.

On the court: In two games, had 24 points, 18 rebounds and five steals.

Off the court: "Z" hasn't decided on a college, but has several offers to continue playing. Favorite sports is basketball. Favorite memory is playing with and being around her teammates. Favorite subject is science. Favorite food is pasta. Favorite movie is "Love & Basketball." Favorite show is "Power."

Sophomore

On the lanes: Against North, bowled a 521 series (263-258) for the undefeated Rebels.

Off the lanes: Enjoys fishing, playing baseball and hanging out with friends.

Lyneyya Anthory

Brush>>Girls wrestling

Freshman>>105 pounds

On the mat: At the Akron North Invitational, placed second at 105 pounds, going 3-1 with three pins. Is 13-6 on the season with 13 pins.

Off the mat: "Neyya" wants to play sports in college. "My favorite personal sports memory was getting my first pin at a home tournament and continuing to go 5-0." Enjoys drawing, painting and making people laugh. Favorite subject is science. Favorite movie is "Superbad" and favorite show is "Community." Likes all types of music. Favorite food is Chicken Alfredo. Favorite team is the Brush girls wrestling team. Has traveled for most of her life, including trips to Japan, German, Las Vegas and Arizona. Has three siblings and a dog.

Junior>>Forward/right wing

On the ice: Had four goals and one assist to help US go 3-0-1 in winning the Mark Rasmus Memorial Invitational. Scored the game-winning goals against Dublin Jerome and Toledo St. John's. Had one goal and one assist in a win over St. John's in the final.

Off the ice: "Markus" is a Mentor resident. Favorite memory is beating Gilmour last season. Favorite food is tacos. Favorite movie is "Most Valuable Primate." Favorite team is the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Chagrin Falls>>Boys wrestling

Senior>>165 pounds

On the mat: Went 5-0 at the Maroon and White Dual meet tournament this weekend at Maple Heights. He is 11-0 in January and 15-5 for the season. Has a team-best 10 pins.
