The terrorist group Islamic State claimed responsibility for the Easter Sunday attacks that killed more than 300 people and injured 500 others in Sri Lanka. Investigators say the attack was retaliation for the mosque shootings in New Zealand last month that killed 50 people. Sri Lankan police have arrested 40 people and say the attackers must have had help from an outside international terror network.

Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes won a round in court Monday buying her legal team more time before the judge sets a trial date. Holmes and her former Theranos partner Ramesh Balwani face up to 20 years in prison and a $2 million fine if they're convicted on charges they lied to investors and falsified test results. The blood testing firm Theranos was valued at $9 billion before it collapsed. Holmes’s lawyers say the body of evidence is enormous and they are having trouble lining up witnesses.

A lawsuit filed Monday accuses Sacramento Kings coach Luke Walton of sexual assault. Sports reporter Kelli Tennant alleged Walton pinned her to a bed in a hotel room and forcibly kissed her while she pleaded for him to stop. The alleged incident took place about five years ago when Walton was an assistant coach with the Golden State Warriors. Tennant said Walton continued to harass her after becoming coach of the LA Lakers in 2016. The Kings hired him last week. The team issued a statement saying "We are aware of the report and are gathering additional information. We have no further comment at this time."
