1 person wounded after 'agent-involved' FBI shooting in Carroll County

CARROLLTON ‒ An FBI agent was involved in shooting late Monday morning in Carroll County.

Carroll County Sheriff Calvin Graham referred questions about the incident to FBI officials.

The age and other details of the person shot were not immediately available.

Susan Licate, an FBI spokesman, provided this emailed statement:

“The FBI is reviewing an agent-involved shooting which occurred July 15, 2024, at approximately 11:15 a.m. in Carrollton, Ohio. One subject was wounded. The FBI takes all shooting incidents involving our agents or task force members seriously.

"In accordance with FBI policy, the shooting incident is under review by the FBI’s Inspection Division. As this is an ongoing matter, we have no further details to provide."
