13-year-old girl shot at local apartment

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WJW) – Cleveland police are investigating a shooting that sent a 13-year-old girl to the hospital.

The incident happened on Monday, June 24 at about 8:30 p.m. at an apartment building on E. 79th Street.

COLD CASE: Authorities renew effort in Portage County

Police say the teen was shot one time.

EMS tell FOX 8 that the girl was taken to Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in serious condition.

No arrests have been made, but police believe the victim knew the suspect, and the shooting happened after a verbal altercation.
