14-year-old arrested in Bratenahl stolen Kia chase

BRATENAHL, Ohio (WJW) – A 14-year-old was arrested Wednesday evening for being involved in a stolen Kia chase in Bratenahl.

According to a press release from the Bratenahl Police Department, officers located a stolen Kia driving on Lakeshore Boulevard and attempted to make a traffic stop.

The person driving the Kia did not comply and led police on a chase, according to the release.

According to police, the Kia eventually lost control and crashed into another driver on South Marginal Road at East 55th Street. That is when four people fled on foot.

No one was injured in the crash, according to the release.

Officers were able to arrest one suspect, a 14-year-old boy.

According to the release, officers from the Cleveland Division of Police and Metroparks Police Department assisted in the search for the other three suspects.

The Kia was determined to have been stolen from another suburb, the release said.
