14-year-old girl accuses Yavapai County man of sexually molesting her, police say

A Yavapai County man was facing multiple charges after a girl accused him of molesting her, according to police.

Michael Craig Andrew, 46, of Chino Valley, was charged on suspicion of sexual abuse of a minor, molestation of a child, continuous sexual abuse of a child, voyeurism and public sexual indecency, according to police.

Around 8:24 p.m. Friday, police received a report from the Arizona Department of Child Safety that a church camp reported a 14-year-old Chino Valley female camper revealed a family friend made sexual contact with her, according to police.

On Saturday, a detective took the girl to talk with a Yavapai Family Advocacy forensic interviewer, and she shared that Andrew had sexual contact with her on several instances, police said.Further investigation by detectives established a probable cause to arrest Andrew, who was booked into Yavapai County Jail, according to police. Jail records from Tuesday morning showed Andrew remained in jail custody.
