18-year-old shot, killed in Northwest DC

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Police in D.C. are working to learn what led to a shooting that left an 18-year-old dead on Saturday.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said on June 30, around 4:17 p.m., officers responded to the 700 block of Missouri Ave., Northwest for the sound of gunshots.

Police canvassed the 5700 block of 7th St., Northwest, where they found 18-year-old Raymond Washington of Northeast shot.

He was rushed to the hospital for treatment, where he was pronounced dead.

Anyone with information about this shooting is asked to call the police at (202) 727-9099 or text MPD’s text tip line at 50411.
