19-year-old critical after Humboldt Park shooting

CHICAGO — A 19-year-old man is critical in the hospital after being shot several times in the city’s Humboldt Park neighborhood Friday.

According to the Chicago Police Department, the victim was walking on the sidewalk in the 500 block of North Sacramento Avenue around 4:30 p.m. when he was hit by gunfire in his face and upper body.

After first responders arrived on scene, the 19-year-old was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

Police have no suspects in custody as area detectives continue to investigate.
