2 cars linked to killing of toddler at Broward birthday party. Do you recognize them?

Detectives have now located two cars involved in a tragic drive-by shooting last weekend that killed a toddler who was attending a birthday party at a Fort Lauderdale park. It’s the latest details released in an ongoing murder investigation in which there’s been no arrests.

The cars were a 2024 red Mercedes-Benz C300 and a 2017 black Mercedes-Benz C300, police announced Thursday. They also released images of the vehicles, which appeared to have been captured from surveillance footage.

Investigators have both cars in their possession.

Rylo was attending his relative’s Sesame Street-themed birthday party at Riverland Park & Pool around 4:30 p.m. Sunday when gunfire erupted. In frantic 911 calls, witnesses described a chaotic scene, pleading for an ambulance.

So far, no arrests have been made in connection to Rylo’s killing. Broward Crime Stoppers have increased the reward for information leading to an arrest to $10,000.

“Everything is a possibility and is open at this point because all the investigations are ongoing,” Fort Lauderdale Police Chief Bill Schultz told reporters Wednesday. “If you know anything, please do not be afraid to come forward.”

In a series of posts on X, Rylo’s mother has asked the public to come forward with information that could solve her son’s murder.

“MY KID WAS SHOT WHILE AT A PARTY ON A SLIDE BEING A KID!!!!!!!!” she said. “WHOEVER KNOW ANYTHING PLEASE SAY SOMETHING!!!!! MY BABY IS GONE”

For Rylo’s grandfather Jerrold Pough, the boy was one of a kind. He said Rylo was intelligent and had even started talking when he was 9 months old.

“He brought peace and happiness to a household that was upside down,” Pough said Wednesday. “Even now, he’s still bringing us together. God knew he was too good for this world.”

Rylo’s death follows another incident of gun violence involving a child in Fort Lauderdale. Earlier in July, 28-year-old Tiarra Holliday was killed in a drive-by shooting in Fort Lauderdale and her 2-year-old son was seriously injured.
