I-20 eastbound shut down after multi-vehicle crash near Kilgore

KILGORE, Texas (KETK) – Kilgore officials have said that a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 20 shutdown east bound traffic on Sunday.

According to the Kilgore Fire Department, the crash happened near the 589 A exit and involved multiple vehicles and reported livestock. They added that law enforcement will continue to be on the scene for a while as they clear vehicles and livestock from the roadway.

The Kilgore Police Department reported that Interstate 20 was shutdown at Highway 42 and diverted on to FM 1252.

Drivers are being asked to be aware of the area and to take another possible route.
