23 arrested in Southern California retail theft bust
Twenty-three suspects were arrested during a massive retail theft bust over Black Friday weekend in Ventura County.
The multi-day blitz took place at the Camarillo Premium Outlets from Nov. 29 to Dec. 1, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.
Around $9,000 worth of stolen property was discovered by officers, along with methamphetamine and burglary tools used in the thefts.
The suspects were identified as:

The large group of suspects were arrested on a variety of charges including retail theft, conspiracy to commit a crime, possession of stolen property, child endangerment, possession of drug paraphernalia, grand theft, and more.
“This three-day Black Friday weekend event was a collaboration between law enforcement, Outlet retailers and the Outlet’s security personnel,” said the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.
One couple, Jesus Edgar Rodriguez Lopez and Blanca Maribel Rodriguez Barrios, also face child endangerment charges for involving their 1-month-old baby in the theft, authorities said, exposing the infant to a “significant risk of harm.”
A second couple, Lance Yaines and Crystal Ghourgoianfor, faces similar charges for involving their 8-year-old child, officials said.
The three male juveniles were cited for shoplifting and later released to family members.
The Ventura County Organized Retail Theft Task Force force is comprised of detectives from various agencies within Ventura County focused on combatting organized retail theft, vehicle/vehicle parts theft and cargo theft.
“The task force aims to provide a safe environment for everyone while working hand in hand with retailers, law enforcement agencies and the public to identify, locate and arrest the criminals involved in these types of crimes,” the sheriff’s department said.
