BRILLION - A 32-year-old Menasha man is dead after falling and hitting his head Friday afternoon at the Ariens Nordic Center, according to the Brillon Police Department.

The Brillion Police Department was dispatched at 4:40 p.m. Friday to the Nordic Center following a medical call for a fall in which the person hit his head on a "hard surfaced area," the news release said.

The venue was hosting a roller ski race starting at 5 p.m Friday. The Menasha man was not participating in this event, according to a press release.

The roller ski races were scheduled to continue Saturday.

The center, 1111 Round Lake Road, opened in January 2023 and offers outdoor activities across a 5K trail network on about 200 acres. The Nordic Center offers cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, biathlon, winter fat biking, inline skating, and running and walking.
