4-alarm fire engulfs Bronx businesses: FDNY

MELROSE, The Bronx (PIX11) – A four-alarm fire broke out in the Bronx early Thursday, engulfing several businesses, according to the FDNY.

The fire broke out around 5 a.m. at 3033 3rd Ave. in Melrose, which is a Dunkin’, per the FDNY.

Three firefighters were injured, according to fire officials.

At least four stores along the 3000 block of 3rd Avenue between East 155th and 156th streets were destroyed in the blaze, according to the FDNY.

Fire marshals are investigating the cause.
