I-465 ramp closures coming ... again. Here's what to expect in the days ahead

INDIANAPOLIS — For anyone who normally travels I-465 northbound between I-65 and I-70, it may be worth finding a new route for the next few weeks. Starting July 12, crews will close portions of I-465 on the southeast side of Indianapolis for ongoing construction.

The Indiana Department of Transportation will conduct road repairs and bridge deck patching work along I-465, which is expected to be completed by Aug. 5.

During the weekdays, INDOT will reduce traffic on I-465 northbound to three lanes between I-465/I-70 interchange to 56th Street, and on weekends, traffic will be reduced to two lanes.

Notice police along I-465? Here's what it means

As part of the state's "Clear Path 465" project, Indiana State Police noted that drivers should expect police presence near construction zones along I-465. The high visibility of officers is meant to help slow down drivers, quickly respond to incidents on the I-465 and address traffic queue issues.
