60-year-old dead after convertible flips during Preston crash

PRESTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Connecticut State Police say a man is dead after his convertible flipped over during a single-vehicle crash Sunday.

Police said the crash happened around 9:30 a.m. on the 190 block of Middle Road. When emergency crews arrived, they found a 1965 Ford Mustang on its roof.

The driver- 60-year-old Kraig Bressette of Preston- sustained fatal injuries.

Investigators determined he was driving north on Middle Road when his car went into the northbound grassy roadside area and struck a stone retaining wall. The car’s right tires then drove off the retaining wall and the car rolled over its right side to land on its roof about five feet down, state police said.
