8-year-old struck by train Monday in Cherry Hill taken to hospital in stable condition

An 8-year-old boy was struck by a train in the Cherry Hill neighborhood on Monday evening and taken to a hospital in stable condition, Baltimore Police said.

Officers responded to the 3400 block of Spelman Road around 6:50 p.m. and found the victim with a severe injury to one of his extremities, police said.

Private police from railroad company CSX have been notified of the incident, police said.
