AAA: Gasoline price decline steady, but could soon stall because of crude oil prices

Florida gasoline prices are on the decline, reaching the lowest they've been since February.

That's according to AAA-The Auto Club Group, which said in its weekly gas prices brief, out Monday, that the state's average hit $3.25 on Sunday. That's five cents lower compared to the week before. That price also is 19 cents less than this time last year.

"Summertime road trips have become less expensive thanks to falling crude oil and gasoline futures prices," said Mark Jenkins, the group's spokesperson. Jenkins said the trend of falling gas prices could soon stall, however, mentioning that "oil prices did regain some strength last week."

Last week, the U.S. price for crude oil rose three dollars per barrel, which is nearly a 4% increase.
