Abilene police take New Mexico double homicide suspect into custody, recover abducted baby
ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A suspect was arrested in Abilene on Monday in connection to a New Mexico homicide and abduction of a baby girl.
Clovis Police investigating double homicide, abduction of infant
Alek Collins, 26, of Houston, is accused of shooting two women to death, injuring a 5-year-old, and abducting a 10-month-old in Clovis, New Mexico.
Abilene police say they located Collins at a north Abilene home where he was reportedly staying. Narcotic agents set up surveillance and later took the suspect into custody.

The baby girl was taken into protective custody and medically evaluated.
Alek Collins was booked into the Taylor County Jail on Aggravated Robbery and Aggravated Assault against a Public Servant charges on Monday. More charges for Collins will likely come later on.
