Dec. 11—Agustin Archuleta 1927-2024 Agustin "TÃn" Archuleta, passed away peacefully on Dec. 2, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born Jan. 15, 1927, in Los Lunas, a beloved son of the late Antonio and Isabel (Trujillo) Archuleta. TÃn was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving honorably during World War II, and receiving multiple awards and decorations. TÃn was preceded in death by his siblings, Figo, Teles, Salo, Antonio Jr., Rose and Nina; and his son, Leonardo. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Pauline Jaramillo; his sons, Roberto (Melecita), Gilbert (Nancy) and Agustin (Monique); and his stepchildren, Robert (Laurent), Tony (Patricia), Yvonne (Rich) and Brigitte; as well as his 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. A longtime resident of Los Lunas, TÃn graduated as valedictorian of the Class of 1945 from Los Lunas High School, and served the community, first as the Los Lunas clerk-treasurer (1952-1982), and then as county manager of Valencia County (1985-1986). TÃn enjoyed his retirement in San Antonio, Texas, and his extensive travels throughout the world. Special thanks and prayers go to Brigitte for the loving care and treatment provided to TÃn. Memorial services will be held at a later date, followed by internment at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
