Albuquerque police arrest 3 men on child pornography charges

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) –  The Albuquerque Police Department’s Child Exploitation Unit has arrested three people during Operation Phoenix. APD said the operation led to four search warrants and three felony arrests.

APD: 45-year-old faces charges for deadly May shooting

Police received an anonymous tip about student doctor Kevin Weiss suggesting he was involved in sexual activities including children. Upon investigation, police said they found “substantial evidence” of Weiss possessing, distributing, and manufacturing child pornography.

The APD task force said an anonymous tip led them to find Manuel Gomez who they said was in possession of a sexual image of a 7-year-old girl.

APD said a cyber tip led to a search warrant for Irick Charles. Detectives said they found more than 30 electronic devices containing child pornography.
