Alison Hammond's latest date with Hugh Jackman includes Ryan Reynolds 'throuple'

Alison Hammond got to relive her favourite This Morning moment in another rendezvous with Hugh Jackman - and this time, he brought along best pal Ryan Reynolds for a "throuple".

Hammond has enjoyed a number of intimate interviews with Jackman over the years, so when he and Reynolds came to town to promote their new summer blockbuster Deadpool & Wolverine, there was only one woman for the job of speaking to them about it.

Movie star Jackman got a massage from his number one fan Hammond, but she told Reynolds he would need to impress her to gain the same status as Jackman in her eyes.

What, how and why?

Hammond has made no secret of her love of Hugh Jackman over the years, enjoying cosy chats and romantic moments with him during their interviews for This Morning.

So when Jackman went out on the promotional trail for Deadpool & Wolverine, Hammond jumped at the chance to catch up with her favourite Hollywood star again - although this time, she found there was a third wheel in the form of Ryan Reynolds.

Hammond told Deadpool star Reynolds: "It's a little bit awkward Ryan because usually it's just me and Hugh in these interviews and we have a little date."

But she added: "Actually, seeing you in the flesh, you could join this throuple." Later, the TV presenter told Reynolds: "This is an audition for you, Ryan, to get into my good books, because Hugh is already there."

Jackman looked as delighted as ever to be in Hammond's company as he left his chair to kneel next to her, getting a massage from her as she spoke to Reynolds.

Wrexham AFC owner Reynolds did his best to get on Hammond's good side as he told her: "When Blake (Lively, his wife) and I catch up at the end of the day and she says what did you do, I'll say I spent my whole day trying to get into a throuple."

Talking about his love of The Great British Bake Off which Hammond presents, Reynolds also gave the Brummie accent a go as he said: "We just rewatched Alison's first episode (of Bake Off) the other day where she got to say 'Ready, Set, Bake'. My daughter Inez was loving saying it all through the house all day. 'Bake!'"

They managed to get a brief mention of Deadpool & Wolverine into the interview as Reynolds said of Jackman: "I was absolutely blown away by seeing the hush that came over that jaded crew which has done 8 million movies when he put that yellow suit on that first time. That is another memory which I'll never forget."

What else has happened between Alison Hammond and Hugh Jackman?

Hammond and Jackman's friendship has been going strong for years now, with the Greatest Showman star famously telling her in 2017 that she was his favourite interviewer.

The pair settled down with champagne as Jackman fed Hammond olives for their This Morning interview, where he told her: "You are without doubt, over the years, the best person to interview me. I always find it amazing."

He also added: "I’m not retiring, by the way, so we can have many more of these dates."

In 2019, Hammond got another date with Jackman for This Morning as she told him: "Last time we had a date, I thought we had something special...

"Obviously we've had Valentine's Day, and you're like six days late - look at this - I've got wilted roses, the champagne had to go…. you're six days late!" Jackman replied: "I promise you love in my way. Can you accept that or not?"

Jackman shocked fans with the news that he was splitting from his wife of 30 years, Deborra-Lee Furness, in 2023 and Hammond told The Mirror: "Things are not good in the Jackman camp but it's not because of me… I feel quite bad for him as he's had a really long marriage, but I just love that man.

"He's one of those guys who gives an interview 100%. We've been flirty so many times, but you can't flirt nowadays, you've got to be careful."
