Allegany County man dies after Cohocton crash

COHOCTON, N.Y. (WETM) — A 26-year-old man from Allegany County was killed during a crash in Cohocton on Wednesday evening.

According to the New York State Police Department, a 2017 Dodge Caravan traveling north on State Route 371 near State Route 21 crashed at about 4:55 p.m. on July 3 after passing another vehicle in a no-passing zone. The 31-year-old driver lost control, left the roadway, and the vehicle rolled over.

The passenger, Adrian V. Gregory-Kielbasa, 26, of Angelica, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The driver was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

The New York State Police Department, Cohocton Police Department, Cohocton Fire Department, Atlanta Fire Department, Hornell DOT, and Kanona DOT responded to the scene.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing at this time.
