Almost 2 pounds of fentanyl seized in major drug bust at SC home
GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) — Drugs, cash and more were found during the search of a Mauldin home, leading to the arrest of five people.
According to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, deputies found the following in the Kenan Orchard Drive home:
Nearly two pounds of counterfeit pressed fentanyl pills
More than 20 grams of marijuana
More than $8,000 in illegally possessed money
An illegally possessed firearm
The sheriff’s office added that the search was a result of efforts to combat the presence of fentanyl in the community.
Sheriff Hobart Lewis commended the work of the Greenville County Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Enforcement Unit, and urged the community to report suspicious activity related to drug trafficking.
“We will not stop until all of these deadly substances are gone from our community,” Sheriff Lewis said.
