Amrita film awards announced

T.D. Dasan Standard VI D won the award for the best film at the Amrita Television and Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) film awards for 2010. Its director Mohan Raghavan won the award for the best director. A press release issued by Amrita Television in the capital on Wednesday said Mammootty has been adjudged the best actor for his performance in Pranchiyettan and the Saint. Kavya Madhavan is adjudged the best female actor for her role in Gaddama. The Abhinaya Keerthi Puraskaram will be presented to Mohanlal. Salim Kumar has won the special mention of the jury for his role in Adaminte Makan Abu. The lifetime achievement award will be presented to K.J. Jesudas. The Yuva Keerthi Puraskaram will be presented to Kunjacko Bobban and popular hero award to Dileep. Vikram is the best Tamil male actor and Amala Paul the best female Tamil actor. The award-winners were selected by a jury headed by veteran film maker Sethumadhavan. The awards will be presented at Kochi on June 4.
