Arkansas State Police seizes 7,000 fentanyl pills, promethazine, marijuana during Van Buren traffic stop
VAN BUREN, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Arkansas State Police says it seized around 7,000 fentanyl pills and other drug paraphernalia during a recent traffic stop in Van Buren, according to a news release.
On July 31, ASP conducted a traffic stop on a white 2024 Nissan Altima near mile marker three on Interstate 40 around 2 p.m.

During a search of the vehicle troopers found in addition to the fentanyl pills, 18 pints of promethazine/codeine syrup and illegal marijuana.
The driver and passenger of the vehicle were taken into custody.
ASP said the two told investigators they were traveling from Riverside, Calif., to Memphis, Tenn.
