Arrests made in shooting death of teen in central Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Law enforcement officials announced that three teens had been arrested in the deadly shooting of a 16-year-old in May.

Doir Jenkins, 18, was arrested on Wednesday, as were two teens only identified as a 17-year-old and a 14-year-old by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officials.

The arrests come 46 days after police found Jovan Wright Bullock, 16, shot near Vegas Drive and MLK Boulevard in central Las Vegas on May 11. Bullock was taken to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

At the time, police said a suspect in the shooting was seen fleeing south.

The teens face charges of open murder, robbery, and conspiracy to commit murder. Jenkins and the 17-year-old were booked into the Clark County Detention Center, and the 14-year-old was booked into Clark County Juvenile Hall.
