Augusta Commission unofficial results reported in May 2024 Election

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – The results for the Augusta Commission race have unofficially been reported.

According to the Election unofficial reports, after 68 out of 68 precincts reporting, three of the incumbent commissioners will be returning to office; however, one did not receive majority of the votes.

In District 1, Jordan Johnson received 55.58% of the votes giving him majority of the votes while Matt Aitken received 34.83%.

In District 3, Catherine Smith McKnight received 68.44% of the votes giving her the majority while Carol J. Yancy received 23.64%.

In District 5, Don “DC” Clark received 52.82% of the votes winning majority of the votes over incumbent commissioner Bobby Williams who received 47.18%.

In District 7, Tina Slendak received 63.15% of the votes giving her the majority while Marshall Bedder received 36.85%.

In District 9, Francine R. Scott received 64.28% of the votes giving her majority while Marion Williams received 35.72%.
