Authorities identify two dead after plane crash near EAA in Oshkosh, both from out-of-state

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities have identified the two men who were pronounced dead at the scene of a plane crash just south of EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh on Monday.

On Wednesday, the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office provided preliminary identification of both occupants of the plane as Sean M. Tommervik, a 37-year-old from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and James G. Sullivan, a 32-year-old from Brooklyn, New York.

Authorities noted that Tommervik had recently moved to Philadelphia from El Paso, Texas, and Sullivan had recently moved to Brooklyn from Nashville, Tennessee.

The plane involved was reportedly a Lancair Super ES with registration number N18BG, and deputies stated that Tommervik owned the plane.

The crash continues to be investigated by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). No additional information was provided.
