BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Baton Rouge Police Department has identified the victim killed after a car crashed into a bank on Friday, Sept. 6.
Police said a 2003 Chevrolet truck was driving west on Greenwell Street when it drove through the Airline Highway intersection entering the Chase Bank parking lot.
The truck crashed into two parked vehicles before driving through the front wall of the bank, BRPD said. A fire ignited inside the vehicle after it crashed.
Police said the driver, John Snowden, 62, was unable to be removed from the vehicle due to the fire spreading quickly and died at the scene.
