Bernalillo County hit with flooding from intense rains, power outages

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Bernalillo County experienced severe weather events on Saturday evening.

The Metro saw flash flooding and severe thunderstorms, and authorities closed parts of Downtown Albuquerque due to the standing water.

Albuquerque Fire Rescue said they had multiple calls for flood channel rescue and water emergencies.

According to the PNM outage map, more than 2,000 people in Albuquerque are without power as of 9:25 a.m. on Sunday.
