Border war: Will Kansas plan to lure Chiefs, Royals pay off?

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Experts are weighing in on two major plans passed in a one-day special session at the Kansas Statehouse.

The first is a plan to lure the Kansas City Chiefs or Royals to Kansas using STAR bonds to pay for new stadiums. The other plan focuses on tax relief. The question is, will either pay off in the end? And, how much money will go back into people’s pockets?

27 News Capitol Bureau Chief Rebekah Chung sat down with political analyst Bob Beatty and local economist Paul Byrne to discuss both plans.
