BREAKING: Two fatalities reported in Pryor

May 26—Two fatalities have been reported in Pryor following an overnight storm in northeast Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma office of the Chief Medical Examiner has confirmed two fatalities in Pryor, according to a media release from the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management.

The storm spawned a tornado in Claremore, which caused multiple injuries, downed power lines, and damaged numerous homes and buildings in and around Claremore.

At least 23 people were reported injured in Claremore — three with possible life-threatening conditions.

Approximately 8,400 power outages were reported as of 9 a.m. Sunday, according to the release. Rogers, Mayes, Delaware, McCurtain and Choctaw counties had the most number of outages reported.
