The U.S. Forest Service's Bend-Fort Rock Ranger District has unlocked the gate at Todd Lake, opening up Forest Service Road 370, which provides access to Broken Top and Crater Ditch trailheads.

FSR 370 is a very rough road with some sections being impassable for low clearance vehicles, according to a press release. "The Forest Service does not maintain FSR 370 for passenger cars and recommends high-clearance vehicles."

Central Cascade Wilderness permits are required and available for day and overnight use of Broken Top and Crater Ditch trailheads. Permits can be reserved through Recreation.gov.
