8 Michigan farms where you can buy locally grown flowers

Flowers are our way of expressing thanks, love, congratulations, condolences.

Flower farmers across Michigan offer a variety of blooms. Farms offer many ways to buy flowers — from selling bouquets at stores and farmers markets to offering flower subscriptions to giving visitors a chance to pick flowers from vibrant fields.

Here are eight farms across Michigan where you can buy locally grown blooms.

The Flower Project

In Ferndale, Michael Fraley and his partner Brent Grant grow a wide array of flowers on their double lot — and even in a portion of a neighbor’s yard — that they use in vibrant bouquets that they sell at local farmer’s markets in Royal Oak, Birmingham and Grosse Pointe. “Our goal is to give you flowers right before they hit their prime, so they actually hit the prime on your table and they last longer,” Fraley said. He said the business also takes special orders and does events. For more information, visit The Flower Project on Instagram @the_flower_projectmi or it’s Facebook page.
