Child abuse suspect shot by deputies in San Bernardino County

Deputies shot a child abuse suspect when he allegedly pointed a gun at them as they tried to serve an arrest warrant in the Muscoy community of San Bernardino County earlier this week.

The incident described by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department as a Lethal Force Encounter occurred in the 1900 block of West Mallory Street around 3 p.m. on Tuesday.

“When deputies contacted the subject of the arrest warrant, Fredy Castillo Cabrales, he pointed a gun at law enforcement and a lethal force encounter (LFE) occurred,” the Sheriff’s Department stated in a news release.
