Could Tropical Storm Beryl impact Mississippi & Tennessee? Here are the latest projections

The effects of Tropical Storm Beryl could stretch as far as northern Mississippi and into Tennessee by the middle of next week.

The storm has devastated parts of the Caribbean, battered parts of Mexico and is headed toward Texas. It then has a strong chance of swinging northeast to add to rain forecasts in Jackson, and West and Middle Tennessee between Tuesday and Wednesday, according to National Weather Service’s projected potential track area for the next 4-5 days.

WSMV 4 Nashville meteorologist Dan Thomas said on Saturday morning the effects of the tropical storm could also bring more cloud cover and humidity. The ensuing rain will lessen by Thursday, Thomas said.

Other than Beryl, as of 8 a.m. Saturday, July 6, tropical cyclone formation was not expected during the next 7 days.
