Apparent fatal crash closes down I-10 in East El Paso
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — What appears to be a fatal crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian has shut down all lanes along Interstate 10 in East El Paso on Sunday night, Nov. 17.
El Paso Fire dispatch said a crash involving a vehicle and pedestrian happened shortly after 9:30 p.m. along Interstate 10 East at Zaragoza. Fire dispatch said at 11 p.m. that the scene remains active and under investigation.
Viewer video from the scene shows what appears to be a body in a sheet on the roadway.
Police confirmed that the crash involved a pedestrian and that its Special Traffic Investigations Unit is at the scene. They did not say how badly hurt the person was.
TxDOT reported just after 5 a.m. Monday morning, Nov. 18, that lanes opened up in the area.
