Crews search for possible juvenile drowning victim along Kentucky River in Madison County
A search was underway for a possible drowning victim on the Kentucky River in Madison County Tuesday afternoon.
The Lexington Fire Department sent dive crews to help look for a juvenile who went under and did not resurface, said Battalion Chief Derek Roberts.
The area being searched is at Boonesborough Beach, near Fort Boonesborough State Park, WKYT reported.
The Lexington Fire Department was dispatched to the scene at 3:34 p.m., Roberts said.
It was not immediately clear when Madison County crews were called to the scene, and further details were not immediately available.
